Seminars
- The Visiting Speaker Seminar meets weekly, Friday afternoons, in term-time. (See also the programme archive).
- The Departmental Postgraduate Work in Progress Seminar meets weekly in room G.6 of the Dugald Stewart Building on Wednesdays, 1-2pm.
- The Departmental Postgraduate Professional Development & Research Training Seminar meets in room G.6 of the Dugald Stewart Building on selected Wednesdays, 1-2pm.
- The Departmental Faculty-Postgraduate 'afternoon tea' takes place every Thursday at 3pm in the 7th floor common room of the Dugald Stewart Building.
- The Departmental Postgraduate Reading Group meets regularly on Wednesdays, 2.15-3.30pm.
- The Undergraduate Edinburgh University Philosophy Society meets on Thursdays, 6-8pm, in term-time.
- The Epistemology Research Group meets on alternating Wednesdays during term-time at 4pm.
- The Epistemology Reading Group meets regularly on Mondays during semester at 12pm in room 6.01 DSB.
- In Autumn 2009, the Ethics Research Group hosts a reading group on Tim Scanlon's Locke Lectures "Being Realistic about Reasons": This will meet on Oct. 7, 21, Nov. 4, 18, and Dec. 2, from 2-3:30 in Dugald Stewart Building G.06.For more information, please contact Michael Ridge.
- The Philosophy, Psychology, and Informatics Research Group (otherwise known as the 'PPIG' group) meets on alternating Wednesdays during term-time at 4pm.
- The Mind, Agency and Perception Research Group meets on alternating Thursdays at 4-5.30pm in room 1.01 of the Dugald Stewart Building.
- The Logic and Language Seminar meets on alternating Thursdays during term-time at 4-6pm in room 1.01 of the Dugald Stewart Building.
- The Philosophy of Technology reading group meets regularly in room 1.01 of the Dugald Stewart Building.
- The Ancient Philosophy Reading Group meets on Tuesdays 6-8 in Room 7.01 of the Dugald Stewart Building.
- The Arabic Philosophy Reading Group will be meeting again this year: time and venue TBA soon.
